Democratic party of saline county 2025 scholarship

The DPSC is proud to offer this opportunity to the youth in our community!

The Democratic Party of Saline County (DPSC) is excited to announce our first-ever scholarship opportunity, open to all high-school juniors and seniors in Saline County! This unique scholarship invites students to submit designs for a mural based on the theme “And Justice for All.” We encourage all eligible Saline County students to reflect on our country’s stated values of equal opportunity and justice in their designs, and to showcase their creativity and vision for a brighter future by applying for this first-of-its-kind scholarship opportunity!

The winning student(s) will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to collaborate with an experienced muralist to finalize their vision and bring it to life. The mural will be displayed on the side of the DPSC’s headquarters building, located at 101 South Market Street, Benton, Arkansas. This collaboration provides students with hands-on experience in public art and the chance to contribute to a meaningful project that reflects the values of justice and equality in Saline County, Arkansas.

Contribute to the fund!

The total scholarship amount will be determined by the amount donated by the community to the scholarship fund. We invite all members of the community to contribute to this important opportunity by clicking the link below.

Application requirements

Theme and Submissions

Applicants must submit a mural design fitting the theme of “And Justice for All,” accompanied by a brief written explanation/summary of their design. The design itself should be in a landscape, rectangular format with an estimated 1:3 height-width ratio.

The written portion should detail how the design represents “Justice For All” along with providing their college and career plans, and why they believe they should be selected as the recipient of the scholarship.

Deadline and Eligibility

All submissions must be received by June 15th, 2025. A winner will be selected based on a rubric approved by the DPSC’s Scholarship Disbursement Committee by June 30th, 2025.

Students are welcome to submit designs individually or as part of a team. If a team of students are selected as the recipients, the total scholarship amount will be evenly divided and awarded across all members of the team. ALL students that submit an application MUST be either high school juniors or seniors to be eligible for this scholarship.
